How to Find and Read Your Insurance Declaration Page

In need of uploading your compliance information for approval? Your auto insurance declaration page (sometimes referred to as “dec page” for short) is exactly what we need, but it can be tricky to find and understand. This article provides directions to get a copy of your declaration page and locate the information to complete your verification.

The insurance declaration page has important policy information that is not listed on your policy ID cards. If you only upload your policy ID cards, your compliance submission will most likely not be approved.

A declaration page must include:

• Your name and address
• Your policy expiration date
• Your policy coverage specifics (e.g., liability limits and collision deductibles, etc.)
• VIN for the vehicle you’re enrolling in the program

It can be downloaded online from most carriers. However, in some cases, you may need to contact your insurance agent to request a copy.

Once you have downloaded your insurance declaration from your provider, upload your information under the Compliance section of the app by following the steps in this article.

Allstate

For most policy types, you can get your declaration page online by logging into your account. Then go to the Documents section to download a copy of your policy declarations page. 

You can also request a copy by contacting your Allstate agency or calling 800-255-7828. After submitting your request, you should receive your copy via U.S. mail within 7 to 10 days.

American Family Insurance

You can get your declaration page online by logging into your account.

• Click Policies and select your policy
• Click Documents

• Click Documents

GEICO

You can get your declaration page online by logging into your account and visiting the policy documents section.

Liberty Mutual

You can get your declaration page online by logging into your account.

You can also find it on the Liberty Mutual Mobile app. 

Nationwide

You can get your declaration page online by logging into your account.

• Click ID Cards & Documents
• Click the document for the declaration page

You can not get your declaration page online. You must contact your agent or call 1-800-782-8332.

Travelers

You can also request a copy by calling 1-800-842-5075.

USAA
