Looking to include specific details in your employees' profiles? Our 'meta_custom' option has got you covered. By leveraging the meta_custom feature on the members CSV template, you can add unique information tailored to your company's needs, whether it's departments, skillsets, or anything else.
To begin adding custom data to your employees' profiles, follow the steps below:
Step 1: Select 'Members' on the left sidebar menu.
Step 2: Select 'Update via CSV'.
Step 3: Select 'Choose Columns'.
Step 4: Select 'meta_custom' and click 'Export members list'.
Step 5: To include custom data in your CSV file, simply add a new column at the end of the existing data. Give this column a header by prefixing 'meta_' before the name you choose for your custom data. For example, if you're adding information about departments, name the column 'meta_department'. In this column, input the corresponding data for each member. For instance, if you're adding department information, you might input values such as 'sales', 'customer support', 'finance', etc., depending on the department each member belongs to.
Step 6: After you've prepared your file with the custom data, upload the file, and then click on the 'Update Members' button.
Step 7: A loading message will appear where you can navigate away from the page while it loads.
Step 8: If you wait for the file to upload, you will then receive a confirmation message.
Step 9: You can then review the updated information at the bottom of 'Member info' on the Member's tab.
