Purposes allow your employees to keep all of the mileage, expenses, and revenue separate for each source of income or category. Team Members will see the Purposes as preset options and their reports will have mileage and expenses allocated into the categories they’ve set. Setting Purposes for all of your employees is easy!
Step 1: Click the "Team Settings" tab (located on the left-hand side of the screen) on the Team Dashboard.
- To set specific Rates and Purposes for a certain sub-team (if you're the Account owner), first click on the sub-team name of that Admin or Manager, and then click on the Settings tab.
Step 2: Click "Rates & Purposes".
Step 3: Click "+ Add New" to add a new Purpose.
- If you enter a Mileage Rate is set for your new Purpose, it'll overwrite the Default Rate. If left blank, it will fall back to the Default Rate.
Step 5: Enter the information and click "Add" and you're done! ✨
- Please note that Team Members will have to close and reopen Everlance to see the updated Rates and Purposes.
