I did not file in a prior year, can I file with Everlance?
Column Tax in partnership with Everlance is offering tax filing just for your current year tax return.
There are other options available if you’re looking to file a return for a prior year. Although the tax filing deadline for prior year returns has passed, the IRS gives filers up to three years from the original due date of the return to file and still receive a tax credit refund if eligible. You can learn more about options for filing prior year returns on the IRS website.
If you have missed any stimulus credits or rebates you may be entitled to for prior years, the IRS may allow you to claim a back payment in the form of a Recovery Rebate Credit. There is information in the article about eligibility and how to process a claim if eligible.
When will I receive my refund?
The IRS issues most refunds within 21 days from the time your tax return is accepted by the IRS. You can monitor the progress of a refund by using this IRS Where’s My Refund tool.
After your tax return has been accepted by the IRS, please allow 36 hours for information to appear in the Where’s My Refund tool and 3 weeks to get a refund electronically.
The information in the Where’s My Refund tool is only updated once daily which happens in an overnight process. The IRS tax season refund frequently asked questions webpage is a helpful resource for all your questions about refunds.
If you claimed the Earned Income Tax Credit (EITC) you can expect to typically receive a refund by March 1st [By law](https://www.irs.gov/credits-deductions/individuals/earned-income-tax-credit/when-to-expect-your-refund-if-you-claimed-the-earned-income-tax-credit-or-additional-child-tax-credit#PATH%20Act), the IRS can’t issue EITC refunds before mid-February. This includes the entire refund, not just the part that’s related to the credit claimed on the tax return.

Someone else claimed my dependent on their return, what do I do?
If you e-filed your tax return and get a message telling you that a dependent on your return has been claimed on another tax return, or if you receive an IRS Notice CP87A, you’ll first need to verify you entered the correct information for the dependent(s) you claimed. You can do this here, Social Security Administration. If you made a data entry error, you can correct these errors and file the tax return electronically again.
If you entered the information correctly, it is likely that someone else has claimed a dependent on their tax return that you believe you are entitled to claim. How much is it to file with Everlance x Column Tax?

Where is Column Tax Availble?
Column Tax is only available on iOS and Android app. It is not yet available on the dashboard.
What forms does Column Tax cover?
Column Tax covers all 50 states and all personal income tax situations, which refers to individual and self-employed filing scenarios but excludes filings on behalf of LLCs or incorporated businesses. This includes the following tax forms:
- W2
- 1099 (1099-NEC, 1099-K, 1099-MISC, 1099-G, SSA-1099, 1099-INT, 1099-B, 1099-DIV, 1099-R)
What type of filing is NOT supported by Column Tax?
Column Tax only supports yearly taxes. Users cannot file quarterly taxes with Column Tax and Everlance.
Is my data safe with Column Tax?

Is my refund processed through Everlance?
No. Everlance will not store direct deposit data and is not involved in the process of reimbursing users.
