Do you have multiple sources of income, including delivery services, and want to label trips for different jobs or businesses? Whether you're self-employed or managing various side hustles, this tutorial will show you how easy it is to add custom work purposes.
To learn how to add a work purpose first, select your device:
Step 1: Tap on 'Settings' in the top right corner of your screen.
Step 2: Select 'Purposes' from the side menu.
Step 3: You can select from a variety of pre-generated purposes on this screen.
Or you can create your own by tapping on 'Add Custom.' Enter the name of your income source and select 'Add.'
Now, every time you swipe right for 'Work,' you will be able to select from your variety of income sources.
Please note: Once work purposes are added to your account, 'Work' will no longer appear as an option when you swipe right on future trips. This change occurs because you've now included the name of your income source(s) in the app. You can think of 'Work' as an umbrella term with all of your various jobs listed underneath (such as DoorDash, Uber, Lyft etc.).
For any trip that is already classified as 'Work', you can now reclassify it as your work purpose by swiping right on the 'Work' trips or by viewing the trips details and changing the purpose from there.
Step 1: Log in to your account on the Web Dashboard.
Step 2: Go to 'Settings.'
Step 3: Select 'Purposes.'
Step 4: You can select from a variety of pre-generated purposes on this screen.
Or you can create your own by clicking on 'Add Custom.' Enter the name of your income source and select 'Add.'
Now you will be able to select from your variety of income sources when you go to classify your trips.
Please note: Once work purposes are added to your account, 'Work' will no longer appear as an option when you swipe right on future trips.
