If you have recurring transactions that you'd like to be automatically classified, then this feature is for you! Learn how to set up your Favorite Transactions so you don't have to manually keep track of them anymore.
To begin, select your device:
Step 1: Open the Everlance app.
Step 2: Tap the Settings icon on the top right corner of the screen.
Step 3: Scroll down and tap on 'Rules'.
Step 4: Tap on 'Add Favorite Transaction'.
Step 5: If you want to just add the merchant name, tap on "Enter merchant". If you want to change the transaction type, tap the drop-down arrow and select the type of transaction you want.
Step 6: Continue filling out the conditions that describe the transactions you want automatically classified.
Step 7 (optional): If you want to add more conditions/descriptions to the transactions, you can add as many as necessary by clicking the Add Condition button.
Step 8: Go to Classify As at the bottom of the screen and tap on Select Purpose. Select the class you want your transaction to be classified as.
Step 9: When you are done, tap on Create in the top right corner and you're all set! The rules will be set for all future transactions, and you can edit them at any time.
Step 1: Log in to the Web Dashboard.
Step 2: Click on 'Transactions' from the side menu.
Step 3: Click on 'Rules' in the top right corner.
Step 4: Click on '+New'.
Step 5: This is where you will create the rule for your recurring transactions. You will start by clicking on the drop-down menu (Merchant) and selecting the option that best suits your needs (Expense, Revenue, etc).
Step 6: Continue filling out the conditions that describe the transactions you want automatically classified.
Step 7 (optional): If you want to add more conditions/descriptions to the transactions, you can add as many as necessary by clicking the Add condition button.
Step 8: Click on the Dropdown menu for Purpose and select how you want these transactions that meet the above criteria to be classified.
Step 9 (optional): Add any notes that you'd like to appear next to this recurring transaction.
Step 10: Click Save the button in the top right corner to save your changes and you're all done!
You can create as many rules for your transactions as you need to.
