Welcome to Everlance! At Everlance our goal is to help you get reimbursed for your work mileage with little to no effort. Set up your app, drive, and let Everlance do the rest!
To learn how to Capture, Add and Classify your Trips, watch the video tutorial below or keep scrolling for a step-by-step image tutorial.
Auto-Detection
The easiest way to capture trips with Everlance is to turn ON Auto-Detection from the home screen of the app. Automatic tracking will ensure every trip is recorded in the background of your device.
*As a reminder, personal or non-work trips are private only to you. They are not visible to your admins.Manually Capture Trips
If you choose to manually record trips, you will have to start and stop the tracker whenever you begin and end your trip to ensure it is captured.
Tap on the '+' > Start Tracking and tap Stop to end your Trip
Manually Add Trips
If you miss a trip, you can manually add a trip to the app by adding a start and end time and a start and end location for each missing trip.
Tap on the'+' at the bottom of your screen >Trip > Enter your trip details and tap 'Save'
How to View Trips and Apply Filters
a) Once your trips have been recorded, you can view them in the Trips tab.
*Only Work trips are visible to your admin. All Personal and non-work trips are private.
Tap on Trips at the bottom of your screen. At the top of the screen, tap the trips toggle and then use the drop-down arrow to view your trips by Purpose.
b) You can Filter trips by Favorite Places to make organizing your trips a breeze!
From the Trips screen, Tap on 'Filters'. You can filter your trips by Start Place or End Place and tap 'Apply'. Once you have applied your filters, tap the List icon to select and make changes to multiple trips. You can Classify, Merge, Add Tags, and Delete your trips.
*If you delete trips they cannot be retrieved.
c) You can also see your Trips grouped by day.
From Trips, tap on 'Daily'. If you select the summary card for one of the days, it will show you a new view of all Trips for that day, both classified and unclassified. You can apply the same filters to help organize you trips from here.
Classify and Reclassify Trips
Classifying your trips is as easy as swiping left or right. Your trips will be unclassified and private only to you until you classify them as work. If you classify a trip by accident then you can change to any other classification by re-swiping in the opposite direction.
For Work > Swipe Right on the Trip Card. For Personal < Swipe left on the Trip Card
Or you can also tap on the current purpose, in this example we'll tap on 'Unclassified' and a pop up will appear with a list of all of your classification options.
Tags
Your company may require you to add tags to your trips and expenses before submitting your reports.
From the Trips tab select, All Trips > Select Multiple > Select your Trips which will be indicated by a checkmark > Add your Tags > and select 'Done'.
Work Hours
A great way to automatically classify work trips is to go to the Work Hours section under the Settings menu. This allows the app to automatically classify any trips during the schedule you specify as work hours as work trips and automatically keeps trips outside of those hours private or not tracked at all.
Go to Account (top right corner of your screen) > Work Hours > Toggle enable work hours ON > Use the dropdown next to 'Within these hours' to specify your Work Purpose > Finally check each day of the week that you will have work hours and specify the hours for that day > Tap 'Save in the top left corner.
