Need to organize your trips by income source or separate work and personal journeys? Classifying trips by purpose—Work (usually your company name for team members), Personal, or Other (for self-employed)—keeps your information organized.
To begin classifying your trips, select your device:
Step 1: From the Everlance app, tap on 'Trips'.

Step 2: To find your unclassified trips, tap the 'All Trips' drop-down and select 'Unclassified'.

Step 3: To categorize as Work or as your Company's Work Purpose, swipe right on the trip card. You will see a green bar appear indicating the trip will be recorded as Work or your Company's Work Purpose (for example, 'Everlance').
For self-employed individuals, if you have more than one Work Purpose, you'll select from your various income sources such as 'DoorDash' or 'Uber'.
To categorize your trip as Personal, swipe left on the trip card.
To categorize as Other (medical, charity, etc.), swipe FAR left on the trip card. You will see an orange bar appear which will lead you to a list of Other category options.
Please note: This option is only available to Self-Employed individuals.
You can also tap on the current purpose, in this example we'll tap on 'Unclassified' and a pop up will appear with a list of all of your classifications.
That's it! You now know how to classify your trips.

Step 1: From the Web Dashboard, click on 'Trips'.
Step 2: In the top left, tap the 'All Purposes' drop-down arrow and select 'Unclassified'.
Step 3: Once your Unclassified trips have been filtered, tap on the dropdown arrow next to 'Unclassified' on the individual trip card to select your Classification.
Please note: If you are part of a team you will not see 'Work' as an option. Instead you will see your company's work purpose which is usually the name of the company. For example, 'Everlance'.
Step 4: Click on your classification to complete the process. Your trip will move from the 'Unclassified' filter to the 'All Purposes' filter.
